After just over a month of deliberation, the C100 has announced the 21 companies that will participate in its semiannual 48Hrs in the Valley program, which brings Canadian startups to Silicon Valley for an intensive two days of mentorship, networking, and investor meetings.

C100’s partners and ambassadors selected the startups from a pool of over a hundred nominations. The companies span across industries including AI and machine learning, FinTech, cleantech, and healthcare.

The program, taking place between June 20 and June 21, will invite startup founders to attend sessions designed to help them understand topics such as hiring, fundraising, social capital, and the “secrets of Silicon Valley.” C100 said that this year, the program’s second day will consist of TED Talk-style presentations. Startup founders will also have the opportunity to pitch their companies to Silicon Valley-based venture capitalists.

“C100’s goal is for these founders to take what they learn during the program back to Canada in order to build the next wave of successful companies back home,” C100 said.
